These terms govern enrolment in programmes run by Forge Lingua Education Sdn. Bhd. (Reg. No. 202301178456 (1523847-D)), trading as MealForge Academy. By paying a course fee you accept them, so please read them before enrolling — they are written to be readable.
1. Placement and enrolment
Placement test results determine your starting level; we cannot enrol students into a band above their tested level, as this harms both the student and the class. A seat is confirmed only when payment (or an agreed instalment) is received. Seats are limited to ten per group (eight for Business Communication) and are allocated in order of payment.
2. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia and cover tuition, materials and end-of-term assessment. We accept bank transfer, major cards and DuitNow. Term fees may be split into two instalments at no extra charge; the second instalment is due before week five. Fees for future terms may change; you will always see the new fee before re-enrolling.
3. Attendance and the progress promise
Our progress promise — advance one level within two consecutive terms or the next term is free — applies to students with at least 80% attendance who complete the set homework. Recordings and monthly catch-up slots exist to help you protect that attendance figure.
4. Rescheduling and cancellations by us
If we cancel a session (teacher illness, public emergency), it is rescheduled or replaced with a live online session; if neither is possible, a pro-rata credit is applied to your next invoice. If a group drops below four students mid-term, we may merge it with a parallel group at the same level, keeping your schedule where possible.
5. Student conduct
Classes work because the room is respectful. We reserve the right to remove — without refund — any student who harasses others or repeatedly disrupts lessons. For Young Learners, parents must collect children within 15 minutes of class ending.
6. Materials and recordings
Course materials are for enrolled students' personal use and may not be redistributed or resold. Lesson recordings are available only to members of that class for the duration of the term plus 30 days, and may not be shared outside the class.
7. Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from a course is limited to the fees paid for the term in question. We do not guarantee specific exam scores or employment outcomes; see our exam prep page for the honest version of what we do promise. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law.
8. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Governing law
