Young Learners

English as a favourite subject — not another tuition chore.

Children absorbed in English storybooks in the young learners corner

How children actually learn a language

Children do not learn English from worksheets; they learn it from stories they want to hear the end of. Our young learners programme is built around narrative — picture books at six, chapter books at ten, persuasive speeches and short essays by fifteen. Grammar is taught inside the stories, where it means something, and every child speaks in every class.

Parents stay in the loop without nagging for updates: every fortnight your child's teacher sends a short note — what we covered, where your child is shining, and one specific thing to practise at home that week.

Three age bands

  • Sparks (6–9): phonics, sight words and storytelling games that build reading confidence before school pressure arrives
  • Builders (10–12): reading stamina, paragraph writing, and speaking activities matched to the UPSR-free primary curriculum
  • Voices (13–15): essay structure, debate and presentation skills that feed directly into SPM English and school interviews

Safe, calm, and small

Classes are capped at ten children with a consistent teacher for the whole term, so shy learners get time to warm up rather than being drowned out. All weekend slots run between 9 am and 5 pm at our Brickfields centre, two minutes from KL Sentral — drop off, grab a coffee, and pick up a child who wants to tell you about class in English.
